This video was shown during my Psychology of Advertising class this week. It compares what Americans think about wealth distribution in the United States to the reality of the incredible disparity in wealth that actually exists amongst our citizens.

“Lucy, I’m homeeee!”
I say this now every time I walk in my front door. Lucy, an 8 month-old brown tabby cat, came home with me from the Austin Humane Society earlier this afternoon. She is a little shy right now, but pet her for a few minutes and she will curl up and fall right asleep wherever she is. I am so excited for her to be my new roommate! Updates on her transition into her new home and more adorable photos to come soon.
Also, shout out to my wonderful mother for helping me make this possible. Your daughter and grandkitty love you very much!
Today at work I got to utilize our Pantone color books! I was thrilled and had so much fun, there are so many BEAUTIFUL colors to choose from. It was a designer’s heaven. T-shirt design to come soon!

The people who after 26.2 miles ran another two to donate blood at the nearest hospital
The people who evacuated the elderly from a nursing home minutes after an explosion nearby

“Our hearts are with all who suffered tragedy this week.”
For those who tried to cross the finish line… our hearts are in Boston.
I made this graphic to commemorate the victims of the bombings during the 2013 Boston Marathon and express that our hearts are with those who lost their lives, who were injured, and their family and friends.
I don’t think we will ever be able to fully understand how or why people are capable of atrocities such as this. However, I hope that we will be better able to prevent them from happening.

I’ve never cooked with meat before, so that was interesting and kind of gross, but I did it! I am a type of vegetarian called “pescetarian”, so while I don’t eat red meat, chicken or poultry, I do eat sea food. And these tacos turned out pretty well I thought!
